i watched the sun come and go
watched it rise then fall
i watched the flames come over the night
taking away all the pain
i watched as everything that was worried about yesterday
just came and went
it slipped away

now the days seem full of bliss
and i know that it's just my ignorance
playing all those games it likes to play
but this time i make my own way, honey
this time we play our own games

smile...

smile like you did when you told me you loved me

smile and i will return you to that happy place we once were in

no tears this time round
i'm not going to leave this one buried

i watched as the sun went down
another day done and gone
seems like it's been so long since i had fun
but in the end it's all that matters
i'm going to where i depend
going to where i know i have at least one friend
that friend will be here till the end
